Jesus established a kingdom and gave the binding and loosing authority to it (MATTHEW 16:18-19 ; MATTHEW 18:18) that is why the church is not just an institution it is also a government / state. The church is the New Davidic Kingdom, the continuation of God's New Covenant. Authority was not given to a book or a Holy Bible put together by the Catholic church in the 4th century most especially your personal interpretation i.e. sola scriptura. Protestant cults and sects are not churches, they are registered SOLE corporations.
