I'd like to learn about practical everyday internet privacy but haven't been sure where to begin. I've used DuckDuckGo for years. I've been using StartMail for 3 years for my home-based business. I just started using the free version of ProtonMail as an alternate, recovery email address. I've used Firefox for 4 years off and on. I tried using Opera again until someone pointed out it was recently sold to the Chinese; I liked Opera's built-in VPN. I'm currently using the Brave browser but it doesn't seem to function reliably; among other things it's not automatically clearing my search histories despite my settings, but it has nicely been blocking hundreds of nuisance ads. I'm exploring OneWay on behalf of my naive FB-using friends and family members who still don't seem concerned about privacy and security.
