Today we celebrate Christmas. Why? Is it Santa Christ or the Lord Jesus Christ? Which is true?

When we use images like the above that has text that was demonstrated to be false, we are promoting an ideology with a lie. What does that say about our ideology? What does that say about our promotion of Christmas? Does is show us as credible? Are we showing ourselves to be a reflection of Christ?

If we use a lie rather than the truth, can the hearer know if the speaker is a pseudo-Christian or a Muslim practicing Taqiya (Surah 3:28)? There is no difference in deeds.

If we promote this day as a time to buy presents for others rather than give others ourselves, is our guide Santa Christ?

The Lord Jesus Christ not only did not have to lie, but claimed to be the embodiment of truth (John 14:6). If we claim to be Christian and then use lies to promote our ideology, are we preparing to be part of those in Matthew 7:21-23?

The veracity of Scripture is marvelous and there to be seen to all who are willing. The call to follow Christ is not to get your understanding of eschatology right, but to deny yourself and take up His cross (Mark 8:34).

Salvation is a free gift, but the cost to you is very high (John 16:33, Acts 14:22, Philippians 1:28, 2 Timothy 3:12, Hebrews 12:6). Are you willing?

If you celebrate Santa Christ, you can take joy in this day.

If you celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ you can take joy in your tomorrows.
