For some years I have been working on the statement “The Bible is true and the institutional church is a fraud”. This is a work in progress.

Please be aware that both parts of the statement are addressed.

The Bible is indeed true and Jesus Christ is the creator who stepped into His creation to redeem His elect.

Institutions who claim to speak for Him are speaking presumptuously.

The term fraud is used purposely. The American Heritage Dictionary defines “fraud” as “a deception practiced in order to induce another to give up possession of property or surrender a right.” It is my contention that this fits the description of the institutional church.
