When I talk with young and old alike it seems that many are aware of what is happening in our culture. The old family model is quickly accelerating to the atomized individual model. The Communist Confession of Faith and the World Economic Forum’s model of “it is 2030, I own nothing and have never been happier†is rapidly becoming reality. What about my young girls, Susanna and Gloria-Jane? There is the world’s model of you need to be productive in the economy to have value and enjoy the things of this world. Then there is the model the Lord sets out, such as described in 1st Peter 3, but today that is considered “hate speech†and obviously not lived in front of you. I haven’t seen my girls in nine years. Do they want the world or do they want the Lord? |
