A “Site” is the contain for all data and defined by a URL. It is contained in a single folder or package within “/Shofar/Site”.

A “Computer” is the local representation of a physical computer or a virtual machine. It can contain one or more Sites. One of the Sites defines the operation of the computer and is called the Helm.

A “Farm” is a group of computers in proximity of each other such that network communications is fast and direct. A Farm contains one or more Computers.

An “Enterprise” is the top level definition of a group of Computers or Farms. The lower levels may be in physically different locations with access limitations.

The “Computer” term relates to a specific machine.  Computer verbs allow for configuring and examining the machine.  This is distinct from but related to the Program which is independent from the Computer.

Computer is the physical or virtual computer/server/machine that the ShofarNexus program is running on.  It consists of one or more processors, memory, one or more drives, one or more network connections, and zero or more displays.

The word computer is used instead of server to more clearly distinguish between a Service.

Computer.Shofar

The “Computer.Shofar” site is the locally defined site specific to the local machine.  It is generated at Program Start and will always exist irrespective of the existence of any Files.

The Site File (“Computer.Shofar/@”) is used for specific configuration data for the machine.

Computer related logs are at “Computer.Shofar/Log”.
