A friend of mine, David Tulis, who has a radio program in Chattanooga (http://www.hotnewstalkradio.com) visited this website and viewed some PDF files. I noticed that there were two request each time for the files, so I check a bit further. Normally the records of visits are not saved, so there was little to go on but I did have the time and IP addresses. He made three requests over about two minutes. There were three additional identical requests made the same second or the second before. Checking the locations of the IP address, one reported as Chattanooga and David verified that it was his. The second was reported as Blufdale, Utah, the home of NSA’s data collection facility. David and I talked about this and I did indicate that all I can go on is the location reported, and do not know if it was private, corporate or the NSA’s IP address. I also could not be sure if it was direct monitoring of him, a virus on his machine doing the reporting, or some other cause. I did note that it happened with his requests only, and not others. We decided to speak about this on his radio program and I was on for about 15 minutes. During that time we discussed the monitoring and a bit of the issue of the visit from the local police. |
