I did a 6 minute video to explain again Ephesians 5. Since my assumption is that no one in the Cross Clan can find a Bible, these are the verses quoted:

25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,  26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,  27so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.  28In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

I am concerned that some read verse 22 as: “Wives, submit to your dads, as to the Lord.”

In reality it is “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”

Clearly that has caused some confusion.

There are also some short clips from Collateral Murder inserted into the video. Can you tell which part is disgusting and which part is the living out of love? I’m guessing for some it might be hard.

Yes, there is more than a bit of sarcasm here! It isn’t any easier to live without hope from my own wife for over seven years than it was the first year. But again, I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, the author of that Bible that some others formally claimed to follow, and in obedience to the Lord I will not turn from my wife. I love her. Her hate for me doesn’t change that. My hope remains in the Lord that for His purpose and for His glory, He alone will change the heart of my wife.
