I have had the joy of taking on many who twist the Bible to their ends and use offensive terms and by the grace of God have responded (mostly) with a gracious attitude while being unambiguous about their claims and mine.
There have been white racists and black racists who both use the Bible as their reference, but focus solely on skin color but not the fundamental command to love. They will typically repeat themselves, but not engage in rational dialog. I will call them out while seeking a friendly relationship. None have been willing YET!
I have been unambiguous with people of other faiths in articulating the veracity of Scripture and the exclusiveness of Christ’s claims. To my joy I have more than one that I call a friend who are Latter Day Saints. We profoundly disagree, but do so with grace. This is a joy.
When I celebrate those in the past who have stood their ground, even to the point of costing their lives, or point out possible issues with current events, there seems to be a concern.
