I had a wonderful dialog with my friend Chris as we explored the “Sermon on the Mount”. It must be stated that the word “sermon” does not appear in Scripture, nor similar words. “dēmēgoreō”, which I described in “Foundation ● Dialegomai ► Reasoned” is used, but not comfortable.

We discussed the question on who was Jesus physically speaking to, as in Matthew 4 we see the setup, but in 5 we see Him separate with His disciples. But then chapter 7 ends noting the crowd again, but John 6 also show the crowd clearly interested in the food, but only the disciples interested in what He says.

Then a series of comments again came on today’s video on Bitchute. It was same gentleman that I interacted with yesterday. He seems to deny the Trinity and would not directly respond. I wasn’t sure why. Was I in the quandary of Proverbs 26:4-5? However, his comment today gave some suggestion as he continued with a long list of Scripture quotes, then quoted the Quran. While I haven’t seen a response from him to my latest comment, I wonder how it will be received as I also quoted the Quran and the statement about the Trinity in Surah 4:171.

The gentleman is either a well-studied fool, which is not a rarity. Or he might be a Muslim who also studies the Scripture. There are probably more of them than there are Christians who study the Quran. He might be surprised that I am one of them.

The great joy in this is that I did the video “Love the Muslim, Contend with Islam” over three years ago and I think I might have been able to live it out today. I have been dealing with Mormons and continue to do so, but this might be the first Muslim that I have interacted with in perhaps 6 years.
